About pre-ordering Kiddo

Preorders will be shipped on a first-come, first-served basis. Your credit card will not be billed until your order ships.

By pre-ordering, you will be one of the first to experience the Kiddo.Once your order isconfirmed, you will receive a pre-order confirmation email with your order number. Before we begin shipping the Kiddo, we will send another email letting you know it’s coming and asking for your shipping address confirmation. As soon as we receive your shipping address confirmation, we will ship out your Kiddo right away.

Choosing your Kiddo

We have created a Kiddo for every child. There are multiple themes to choose from – robots, dinosaurs and sea animals. Your child can have a blast by matching their outfit with a different Kiddo theme everyday. Each Kiddo comes with the main unit and three top covers from a theme.

Ship date

The shipment date of the Kiddo is scheduled for Spring 2018.
We will keep you informed on a regular basis and, should an unexpected issue arise, we will work tirelessly to ensure it has a minimal impact on a speedy delivery of your Kiddo.
As a friendly reminder, we will not charge your card until we ship.

Shipping rates

The Kiddo ships worldwide. Shipping to locations within the United States (domestic) is $10 for one unit. Shipping in most markets in Asia is $10. Rest of the world is $15 for one unit. Shipping rates halve for every additional unit.

Satisfaction guaranteed

We are confident that you’ll love the Kiddo, but if you need to change your color, or decide that it doesn’t serve your needs after you’ve received your Kiddo, we’ll accept the return within 30 days of purchase and issue a full refund.  Reach out to the Kiddo Support Team via email (orders@kiddowear.com), and we’ll take care of you.

Payments

We currently accept all major credit cards. During pre-order we will not charge your card until we ship. Once we begin shipping, your card will be charged right away.We do not store your credit card information.
We have partnered with a service provider that has been authorized to process credit card payments. Your credit card details are sent directly to this partner and never passes through our servers.

To cancel your order, just reach out to the Kiddo Support Team via email (orders@kiddowear.com). We will get right back to you.  Remember we will not charge your card until we ship, and the Kiddo comes with a 30 day satisfaction guarantee, and a 1 year limited warranty.

What ages is Kiddo suitable for

The Kiddo is suitable for children aged 3 to 8 years old.

What wrist sizes does Kiddo accommodate

The Kiddo is designed to fit a range of wrist sizes suitable for 3-8 year olds. Wrist circumference is around 4 inches to 6.75 inches.

Is the Kiddo safe to use

Absolutely. Kiddo is tested for stress, falls, water resistance and allergies. Kiddo only uses nickel and lead free non-allergenic materials in all of its components.

How safe is my kids data

The Kiddo has a strong focus on security and encryption. The data is highly secure and encrypted close to medical record standards. We also follow COPPA regulations on data sharing. The parent is always the primary owner of the data.

Data servers are managed and located in a SOC 2, Type II audited facility that is located in the United States and includes high-end surveillance equipment, security guards, visitor logs and passcards/biometric recognition. Data is transmitted across a protected, 256-bit SSL connection that encrypts the data before it is sent to the servers. All access to the device and servers are required to use a 256-bit encrypted connection along with a strong password strength.

Does the Kiddo emit harmful radiation

No, the Kiddo uses low emission Bluetooth which is harmless. The device is well within acceptable levels for kids.

My child has heart condition/ other special needs, can the Kiddo diagnose

The Kiddo is not a medical or diagnostic device, and should not be used instead of a doctor. It’s a consumer device which monitors key biometrics and can detect irregular patterns, really focusing on health and wellbeing. It cannot and does not replace a trained medical professional.

How do I track nutrition

Because nutrition is one of the many aspects that helps to keep your kid as healthy and happy as they can be, we wanted to incorporate that into the Kiddo. You can input the foods your child eats during or after mealtimes, whenever is convenient for you. Kiddo will help suggest healthy foods to provide optimal nutrition for your child, based on their personalised data.

Why doesn't the Kiddo have a display

As the Kiddo is designed for young children, we didn’t want to add to the growing amount of time that kids spend looking at a screen. Moreover, a lack of display enables teachers to allow the device in schools without the downside of an “always-on” screen. Additionally, the information that the Kiddo provides is meant to be evaluated by parents and guardians, rather than the child alone, so a screen on the Kiddo itself wasn’t necessary.

Does it have a GPS tracking function

We designed the Kiddo for kids to be kids; the Kiddo isn’t a GPS tracker. It is, however, possible to enable geo-fencing on the Kiddo app. This works using the Bluetooth connectivity between the Kiddo and the smartphone hosting the app. When a range is set, for example upto 100 feet, the app can give off an alarm when the Kiddo moves outside of that range.

How does the Kiddo actually connect

Kiddo works by connecting with an authorized mobile phone (e.g. a parent’s phone) via BLE. It then syncs the data collected by it to the mobile phone which in turn syncs to the cloud in an encrypted manner. This way the data is available to be accessed in real time by any guardian or caregiver who is authorized by the parent.

Can I sync more than one Kiddo to the app

More than one Kiddo can be synced to the app, up to a maximum of 60 at a time!

What is the Kiddo’s battery life

It will vary depending on how much your child plays with the games, but we designed it to deliver at least over a day’s worth of battery even with heavy usage.

How long does it take to charge

Charging time is around 1-2 hours.

Does the Kiddo come with a charger

Each Kiddo comes with its own convenient charging cable which can be plugged into any USB port (thus doing away with the necessity of a country specific plug).

Are there in app purchases

No – the app does link to a store on the website on which a parent would need to log-in to make any additional purchases.

Warranty

Each Kiddo will come with a one year warranty from the date you receive the ring. You can also return the Kiddo for an exchange or refund up to 30 days after it ships.

Returns

You may exchange or return your Kiddo for any reason within 30 days of receipt of your ring for a full refund.

To return your Kiddo, please follow these steps:

  • Contact our Kiddo Support Team via email (orders@kiddowear.com), to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and a prepaid return shipping label.
  • Carefully pack the product with all accessories originally included with your purchase so that it will not be damaged during shipping. We suggest using the original packaging if possible.
  • Print and affix the provided return shipping label to your return package.
  • Drop the package in any USPS mail box.
  • Once we have notification of receipt of your return package, we’ll issue you a refund.
  • You will get a refund confirmation email with your transaction details once the refund has been issued.
